Our Story
Tech in Yoruba started as a series of short tech explainer videos on social media, breaking down tech concepts in simple Yoruba.
It began in Ilesa, Osun State — with no tech hub or formal training center. Founder Theophilus Adegbohungbe taught himself tech in 2014 using only a phone, passion, and internet data.
Seeing how many people struggled to access tech opportunities because of language and location barriers, he decided to challenge the status quo.
Today, Tech in Yoruba has grown into a vibrant community of tech learners, professionals, and advocates working to make tech education more inclusive for Yoruba speakers everywhere.
